Sony has history on doing a new iteration to consoles every 3 yrs. for example the slim came out 3yrs, i believe the pro also came out alittle after that, once those come out then they wait around another 3 yrs bc they want ppl to buy the pro/slim to be able to use it. From the og to next gen that usually equals 6 yrs most of the time so ppl dont feel like they wasted money and gets ready for the next. That saying 2018 announces they making it to release it on 2019.
